Dungeon Masters (aka DMs) are those players who are chosen to help breathe life, creativity, and adventure into the server. They are players, neither above nor below the other players. They are chosen based on the quality of their role-play and the power of their imaginations, whether being chosen by the existing DM team or through nomination by their peers. Whereas a typical player contributes to the server through one (or more) of their own characters, a Dungeon Master contributes on a larger and more varied scale.

The job of the Dungeon Master can be more difficult than that of a typical player, due to the magnitude of their contributions, as they can be much more likely to impact or alter the course of another's "destiny." At the same time, the job of the Dungeon Master can be more rewarding, for these very same reasons.

We expect our DMs to maintain the highest quality and caliber of role-playing, as well as remaining open and friendly to their peers. Additionally, the job they do is done freely and without expectation of compensation. They DM because they enjoy doing so.

Again, a DM is no more and no less than any other player; they are simply playing in a different way. All players, be they DM or not, receive the same treatment and are expected to uphold the same degrees of civility and respect.

The main goal is to achieve a level of cooperation, friendliness and welcoming that extends to all of our players. Players should feel free to interact freely and genuinely with each other, regardless of position or power. We are all playing together. Both players and DMs benefit by virtue of the other.

Keep in mind the golden rule: we are all playing to have fun!
